LASPA was founded in 1999 to assist employees of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in a variety of labor matters, including providing representation during administrative investigations and grievances. Our mission is to provide excellent service to our members. In this regard, we only use licensed attorneys to represent our members, never a unit representative.

We are a registered employee organization, not a union. As such, we do not compete directly with any union. We stand alone in offering our services to any interested employee of the Sheriff’s Department. We also do not advocate for the decertification of any union, and do not coordinate any such campaign. Rather, we focus solely on providing the best service to our current members.
