Coronavirus Update

Dear Members:

Below is a review of legislative changes to the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) and the State of California’s Expansion of the FFCRA.  The FFCRA requires public employers, like the County, to allow its employees paid sick leave or extended family medical leave for Covid-19.  The attached powerpoint explains the FFCRA, California’s expansion of the FFCRA, who is eligible for paid leave and supplemental leave, the limitations of the Act and includes the proper forms needing completion.  Please take a moment to review.
