The Month of October is Open Enrollment for Benefits!

Your benefits packets should be mailed out by the Department of Human Resources the last two-weeks of September. Should you not receive one, please contact the Benefits Hotline at 888-822-0487. You MUST call and register through the Benefits Hotline, regardless of whether you are keeping the same insurance or changing. Additionally, you must register if you are waiving your coverage — even if you have waived the previous year or for a period of time. If you fail to register and indicate that you are waiving your benefits, the county will choose a benefits plan for you, which you will have to keep for the year.

However, if you have Cape Insurance, you are required to retain ALADS or PPOA (whichever is your bargaining union) in addition to your LASPA membership or you will be dropped from the insurance.

Free Body Scans for Anthem Blue Cross Members

Body Scan International offers free body scans to deputies and their spouses who have Anthem Blue Cross Insurance. Members and their spouses can be scanned once, every two-years.
